Model Costume, Make Up and Props

For my make-up I am going to make it quite natural just to enhance my models features. The palette of colour will be quite neutral with browns, light greens but with reds for my models lips. For example this image of Ellie Goulding is very natural with no brightly coloured make-up.

Her make-up is very simple and defines her best features, once more her hair is curly and more free and bouncy which is typical of indie style, with the natural coloured hair and natural pale coloured make-up. Therefore my models too will have a natural palette of make-up and their hair will be untamed but again natural looking hair colour and a pretty effortless styled that doesn't look to big or to plain and boring.


This image is a close up on how simple I want the eye make-up for my model. It is using browns and other pale coloures to just define the eyes.

My models hair is also similar to indie artists. The natural red hair is curly and doesn't look too over done which again is very typical for indie artists.

Indie clothing again is very simple there doesn't tend to be much provocative clothing or bright and crazy clothing. For example artist Feist's clothing is simple. Shes wearing a shirt and shorts that both use neutral colours.

For the male models the indie style again has this simple untamed look. For example this band Kasabian.

 

There look again looks untamed. There hair are natural colours and some have facial hair which again is quite stereotypical of male indie artists. There clothing has a casual smart look with plain colours.

These next few images are what i have dressed my models in. I have tryed to stick with the colours red and navy in most of my models but I have also used other colours that can co inside with these. I've done this so that they match with the overall colour scheme through out my magazine and so that they don't clash with anything.

I have dressed Allison in Navy, red and denim as she is going to be used for my front page and I want the colours to match with the mass head.

The boys are dressed in similar colours, but I didn't want them all to look the same as other bands don't do this. Their style is similar but they all have their own unique look.
