Test Shots

This image is a medium close up of the models face and torso. It is a portraite photo, she is framed in the top third of the image. Her head is slightly turned away from the camera but there is still a direct look towards the camera which gives direct eye contact with the reader of the magazine. Her exspression is quite innocent and sweet. It would be suitable for a front page cover if I zoomed into her face and made it more of a close up of her face with her shoulders. Her look is quite interesting as it is not straight on and it could suggesting that she is hiddening something.

This image is a landscape medium close up of the model. This again was taken in the studio with a three point lighting set up and black screen. The movement within the shot makes it fun and exciting. The modles expression to looks fun, she is smiling and her hair is in motion with the rest of her jumping movement. This could be used in the contents page or in the double page spread as it looks intriuging and exciting, wanting the reader to want to find out who this artist is.

This image again is a medium close up. Again her eye line is in the top third of the image with direct contact with the audience and it is a portraite shot. Her expression again is happy and welcoming. Because of this it could be used as a front cover. This is becasue her expression is friendly making the reader want to know who this artist is and what music she has out at the minute. However I feel that all these images need to be more sullen and mysterious as my genre of magazine is indie and their photographs tend to be more intriguing and more thoughtful in the way that suggests that they are very deep and emotional people.
